Blessings and Happy New Year Robinson Roots Family & Friends:
The New York Chapter of the Robinson Roots Reunion (RRR) is once again very pleased and honored to host our 42nd Annual Family Reunion to be held at the spacious Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, 515 US Hwy 1 South, Iselin, New Jersey 08830 on August 31—September 3, 2018.
Through God’s grace, we continue to be blessed as a Family, and we are encouraged in our blessings to do all we can to be a ‘blessing’ to someone else. We know times can be tough and challenges great, but, ‘Keep the Faith’ and ‘Stay Strong’ for we serve a God who can do All Things.
In line with those truths, we, the New York Chapter chose as a theme for this year’s 42nd Reunion, “Looking Back, Empowering Forward”, with the inspiration taken from Deuteronomy 31:6 which states:
Be Strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)
For this Reunion, we are planning a number of events and activities centered on our theme of ‘Empowerment’. This starts with our Youth, so we highly encourage you to not only bring your Youth, but lead them in participating in the enriching events we will have planned. We will also be celebrating and acknowledging many of the fun, informative, and inspirational activities from the past four (4) decades of our Reunions. We are really excited and hope you will be as well.
We are thrilled to have secured the distinctive Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel (a Marriott property) in Iselin, New Jersey. This Renaissance hotel features 311 newly renovated guestrooms, including 42 suites, 22 meeting rooms, outdoor patio dining, indoor and outdoor salt water pools, 24 hour business center, complimentary local shuttle, within walking distance to malls & restaurants, 24-hour fitness center, a Starbucks, and centrally located to the Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, Route 1 and Route 287 as well as the MetroPark & Woodbridge train stations with access to Amtrak.
The room rate at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel Marriott is only $115/night with NJ taxes of 14.875% for a total of $132.11/night, an extremely excellent rate for the area. For the first time, you can have “breakfast for two (2)” included in your room rate for $135/night plus NJ taxes for a total of $155.08/night.
